Recipe to prepare a “CAP-BOWL”

Ingredients:

41- 61 bottle caps in PEHD from ordinary beverage bottles (according to the desired size)

1 baking tray

1 pan or other heat resistant bowl with flat bottom

1 heat resistant bowl (metal, ceramic or glass) to create the final form

1 standard household oven

2 oven mitt

How to prepare your new design bowl:

Wash the caps carefully. Take a cap and place it in the center of your baking tray. Then place 6 caps around to create a hexagon. Repeat this 2-3 times. Put the tray into the heated oven (app. 250° C, top heat) and wait till they start melting. Take the tray out of the oven and press the melted caps down using a flat pan. Wait until it cools down. The caps are now glued together and can be easily removed.

Place them on top of a bowl in heat resistant material and place them again in the oven. After several minutes the flat plastic sheet will start to melt again. Take it out of the oven and press it into the bowl to create the desired form. When cooled down it keeps its final form and is ready to use.
